As with any school group, parent/guardian volunteers make ALL the difference! With YOUR help, we can have a tremendously successful program!!
To become a volunteer, you first need to pass a criminal background check per LISD Policy. (It takes 3 weeks for this process to be completed! So, the sooner you do this, the better!) ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST COMPLETE A NEW BACKGROUND CHECK - even if you have done one for a prior year, LISD wants NEW checks to be done on every volunteer this year. You can fill out the background check form on-line by following these steps:
1. Go to www.lisd.net
2. Click on "Parents/Students"
3. Click on "Volunteer/Background Check" and follow the directions
Once this form has been filled out and processed by LISD you will be able to volunteer with any school-wide activities.
